Supertk to merge with Sotekassa on 1 January 2027
The positive decision was made at the funds’ meetings.
The merger negotiations have been concluded, and the funds will merge in January 2027.
The Supertk fund meeting approved the merger on 2 June and the Sotekassa fund meeting on 3 June.
The operations and assets of the Super Unemployment Fund, as well as all permanent employees, will transfer to Sotekassa at the turn of the year.

The merger will create an even stronger unemployment fund for the social and healthcare sector, bringing together the expertise, resources and extensive experience in member services of the two funds.
There will be no changes to existing memberships.
The fund actively cooperates with six trade unions. The merger of the funds will not cause any changes to the unions’ operations. It is also possible to join Sotekassa without being a member of a trade union.
In January, Sotekassa will have approximately 190,000 members and employ around 45 people.
