What is a Mobility Allowance?

  • You may receive a mobility allowance if you are an unemployed jobseeker and accept a job located far from your home or if you move to another locality for work.
  • You may also receive a mobility allowance for training that begins before your employment starts, provided that your employment will last at least two months.

  • The purpose of the allowance is to encourage employment also outside one’s own residential area. It helps cover the expenses arising from commuting or relocation.

The mobility allowance is paid at a rate of 37.21 € per day.
