Join Super Unemployment Fund!

Membership in an unemployment fund can be compared to an insurance policy.

For only 84 euros per year, you ensure that you can receive earnings-related daily allowance if you become unemployed or are temporarily laid off.

You can belong to the fund either through your trade union as a joint member or as an individual member by joining the fund directly. The membership fee is the same for everyone.

By belonging to both the unemployment fund and the trade union, you secure the benefits offered by both!

You can belong to only one unemployment fund at a time

Make sure the transfer between unemployment funds takes place within one month, as your accumulated unemployment security will be transferred from one fund to another only if the switch occurs within that time frame.

You can authorize your new fund to handle the resignation from your previous fund to avoid unnecessary gaps in membership. If you choose to handle the resignation yourself, submit your resignation notice only after you have received confirmation of your membership in the new fund.

It is recommended for students to join the unemployment fund

Students in practical nursing and church-related fields can apply for and join the Super Unemployment Fund either through their respective trade unions or as individual members. If you are studying to become a care assistant (hoiva-avustaja) you can join Supertk as an individual member.

What are the limitations of membership?

If you are on unpaid leave (for example, parental leave), you cannot join an unemployment fund or transfer from one fund to another.

You can become a member of the fund only if you are employed and receiving wages. Unemployment allowance can be paid to those over 65 years of age only under specific conditions.
